Preparations are underway for the Shravani Mela 2025, with tent cities designed to provide Kanwarias with improved facilities and a comfortable stay. These temporary accommodations aim to offer devotees a home-like experience, especially for those travelling by vehicles on the Deoghar-Sultanganj route. The tent cities in Kothia and Baghmara are equipped with modern conveniences.
These tent cities are designed to mimic the comforts of home, including comfortable beds for rest, bathing facilities, restrooms, medical assistance, information centers, and proper lighting. The Kothia stand tent city will accommodate one thousand devotees, offering beds and fans. Moreover, 44 restrooms and bathing areas are available near the Kothia tent city.
Baghmara tent city offers similar amenities, including restrooms, bathing facilities, and beds for another thousand devotees. The entire area is well-lit. Both Baghmara and Kothia tent cities will feature medical camps and information centers. Vehicle parking facilities will also be provided near the Kothia tent city.
Security measures include substantial police presence and dedicated information dissemination centers near the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. Police camps and information centers are being set up. Regular police patrols will ensure safety in these areas.
Traffic management is also a priority. Arrangements are being finalized to reroute vehicles from the Kothia and Paritran bus stands to Hansdiha via the Rikhiya and Mohanpur routes. Devotees will be provided with detailed route information. CCTV cameras and AI will be utilized to manage crowd safety during the mela. Approximately 150 CCTV cameras are being installed along the Kanwaria Path.
Information centers, managed by the tourism department, are being established at around six locations along the Kanwaria Path, in addition to the Kothia and Baghmara tent cities. These centers will provide information on religious and tourist sites in Deoghar and across Jharkhand. Comfortable seating will also be provided for devotees.
Devotees from various states visiting Deoghar will receive information about Basukinath, Mata Bhadrakali, Netarhat, Rajrappa Maa Chinnamasta Temple, and the Devdi Temple, along with other religious and tourist destinations. The tourism information center will display images and digital videos of various religious and tourist attractions in Jharkhand. Staff will assist with accessibility and transportation information. The tourism department is actively setting up these centers.
