The Bharat Bandh in Bokaro, organized by a joint front to protest the central government’s policies, including proposed labor law changes, had a varied impact. The banking and insurance sectors bore the brunt of the strike, with operations coming to a standstill. However, the Bokaro Steel Plant remained unaffected, with workers continuing their duties across all shifts. The strike supporters gathered at key locations, protesting against government policies using banners and posters. The protesting unions also targeted bank branches and insurance offices to ensure that they were closed. Banking and insurance staff held demonstrations in front of their respective branch offices and voiced their opposition to the government’s policies.
