Ahead of his return from the Axiom-4 mission, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla enjoyed a meal with his fellow astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Shukla is slated to return to Earth on July 14. The occasion was documented by Astronaut Jonny Kim, who posted images of Shukla and the crew partaking in the meal in zero gravity. The Axiom-4 mission launched on June 25 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and the Dragon spacecraft docked with the ISS on June 26. The crew journeyed approximately one crore kilometers in the space of two weeks, orbiting the Earth around 230 times. The mission also involved the ‘high beta period,’ where the station had constant sunlight exposure, which required precise temperature controls, a critical task managed by NASA.
