The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is nearing completion, marking a major infrastructure advancement that will connect Delhi and Dehradun. The project, costing around Rs 13,000 crore, spans 210 km and connects Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. A significant portion of the route passes through challenging terrain, particularly the 20 km stretch from Ganeshpur to Dehradun, which is located within a forest. A crucial element is the specially designed wildlife corridor within the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. The expressway, which is designed for future expansion, will significantly cut down travel time and facilitate tourism and business opportunities in the region. The project began in 2021 with a tunnel built in Uttarakhand.
