At the Danteshwari Mata Temple in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, devotees frequently visit and offer prayers. The temple’s donation box, opened recently, contained not only cash and precious items but also letters expressing devotees’ wishes. Some devotees sought blessings for marriage, specifically with their girlfriends, while others requested employment at NMDC. The donation box was opened on Monday, revealing a total cash donation of ₹11,18,194. The amount was less than the ₹19,23,723 collected in February. The gold and silver items from the donation box are still being valued. The funds collected have been deposited into the temple’s treasury. The Danteshwari Mata Temple’s popularity is continuously increasing, especially during Navratri, attracting devotees from both India and abroad. The temple has substantial assets, and its improved appearance has led to a rise in the number of visitors. The Sharadiya Navratri witnesses donations exceeding one crore, through the Jyoti Kalash and the donation box. Funds from donations are utilized to cover the temple’s operational costs, and silver donations are now being repurposed into coins.
