Commuters and office workers faced major traffic delays in various parts of the region. The IMD has issued a red alert for Raigad, Thane and Ratnagiri, highlighting the extreme weather conditions. Flight schedules were also affected due to the heavy downpour, resulting in delays. Several subways were closed. IndiGo advised passengers traveling through Mumbai to anticipate potential disruptions and allocate additional time for their journeys. The Mumbai Traffic Police also used social media to keep citizens informed about traffic issues, including the closure of the Andheri Subway due to water accumulation and subsequent traffic diversions.
