
A family in the Dumka district of Jharkhand was terrorized by armed robbers who looted their home-based business of approximately ₹7 lakh. The incident took place on Monday night in Arichuwa village, under the jurisdiction of Gopeekandar police station. Five masked individuals on motorcycles entered the premises, initially requesting a cigarette from businessman Naveen Rai. Subsequently, they produced a pistol, threatened the family, and held them hostage. The robbers stole cash, jewelry, shop inventory, and petrol before fleeing the scene. Police are actively investigating the crime and are looking into the potential involvement of individuals who may have been aware of the victim’s routines or financial situation.
