Disastrous weather conditions have forced the suspension of the Amarnath Yatra. A landslide resulted in the death of a female pilgrim and injuries to three others. The incident occurred in the Rail Pathri area, leading to a halt in the pilgrimage from all base camps. The Yatra was suspended on July 17 due to ongoing rainfall and safety concerns. The IMD has issued a red alert, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall across Kashmir. The BRO is actively working to clear the routes. Pilgrims at the Panjtarni camp are being allowed to proceed towards Baltal, depending on weather conditions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with the Yatra expected to resume when conditions improve.
