Recent reports suggesting a Russia-India-China (RIC) meeting have been refuted by sources. They have clarified that no such meeting has been agreed upon, and there are no current discussions regarding a schedule. A spokesperson from the Ministry of External Affairs previously described the RIC as a forum for the member countries to discuss global and regional concerns. The timing of the next India-Russia summit, which India is expected to host in Delhi, will be decided by mutual agreement. Following a meeting between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and China’s Foreign Secretary Wang Yi, the issues concerning Indian industry have been made public. Participation in the upcoming SCO meeting will be finalized based on mutual convenience. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its readiness to maintain communication with Russia and India for the advancement of the trilateral cooperation, highlighting the advantages for the three countries, as well as for regional and global peace, security, stability, and progress. The RIC grouping was formed in the late 1990s under the leadership of Yevgeny Primakov, a Russian politician. The three nations of RIC encompass more than 19% of the world’s landmass.
