
Raipur, July 19, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the newly constructed unit of Aspire Pharmaceuticals located in Sector-05 of Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he extended his best wishes to the management and inspected the entire process of drug manufacturing by visiting the production unit.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the dream of constructing this unit was seen in view of the shortage of medicines during the difficult times of Covid, and today it has come true. He said that when the whole world was struggling with the crisis of Covid, India set an example by developing an indigenous vaccine. Shri Sai said that the inauguration of the pharmaceutical unit is an important step towards the industrial development of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh is attracting investors and more than ₹6 lakh crore investment proposals have been received in the last seven-eight months, out of which work has started on many projects. He said that the state government is working to create more and more employment through industrial units and special incentives are also being given to such units.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh has entered the silver jubilee year today, and the contribution of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in the development that has taken place in these 25 years is incomparable. He said that Dr. Singh not only eliminated hunger from the state, but also laid a solid foundation in the fields of health, education and infrastructure. The Chief Minister, while mentioning the achievements of the health sector, said that at the time of the formation of the state, there was only one medical college in the state, whereas today 15 medical colleges are running in the state. People are getting free treatment through Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojana in the state. Shri Sai said that I have witnessed the inauguration of more than six specialist hospitals in the last one and a half years, which shows that the health facilities in the state are continuously expanding. He said that our Prime Minister Shri Modi believes that people should not fall ill, remain healthy, and people are getting health through wellness centers in accordance with his vision.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the government has prepared a vision document under the concept of “Developed Chhattisgarh 2047”. He said that the current Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of the state is ₹5 lakh crore, which is targeted to reach ₹10 lakh crore by 2030 and ₹75 lakh crore by 2047, and this will be possible only with the cooperation of the people of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, on this occasion, visited Aspire Pharmaceuticals and appreciated the advanced technologies. He said that this unit is fully automated, where various types of medicines like tablets, syrups, ointments and creams will be manufactured. He said that the expansion of this unit will provide employment to a large number of local youth.
