Following the tragic death of Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, a CBI investigation is being requested by his brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi. Vipin alleges that a recently leaked phone conversation suggests the involvement of Sonam Raghuvanshi’s entire family in the murder. Police investigations state Sonam plotted Raja’s murder with her lover Raj Kushwaha and three other individuals. Raja’s body was recovered from a ravine in Sohra on June 2. Vipin alleges that the Meghalaya police’s investigation has been inadequate, especially concerning the bail granted to several accused. He also referenced an unconfirmed call recording, alleging that Sonam was communicating with her family from jail, a claim her family refutes. Vipin accuses Sonam’s family of being involved in her bail process. The East Khasi Hills Court granted bail to Silom James, an Indore property dealer accused of evidence tampering and sheltering Sonam and Raj. Two other accused, Lokendra Singh Tomar and Balbir Ahirwa, also received bail. Sonam, Raj Kushwaha, and the three contract killers remain in custody.
