A tragic incident in Samastipur, Bihar, underscores the fragility of marital trust. A woman, married with children, was involved in an extra-marital affair. When her husband confronted her about the affair, a heinous crime was committed. The husband was murdered, and his body was disposed of in an attempt to conceal the crime.
The police swiftly apprehended the woman and her accomplice. The incident occurred in the Lagunia Raghukant area. The victim, Sonu Kumar, a 30-year-old auto driver, lived with his wife, Smita, and their two children. Sonu worked diligently to provide for his family.
Unbeknownst to Sonu, his wife, Smita, had an affair with Hariom Kumar, the tutor hired to teach their children. The affair flourished in secret. The situation escalated when Sonu discovered their illicit relationship. This revelation led to escalating arguments.
Sonu’s father, Tuntun Jha, reported that Sonu returned home late one Friday night. His body was discovered the following morning. Smita was arrested. Preliminary investigations indicated that the couple had a history of domestic disputes, with a previous intervention by the local panchayat where a bond was executed.
