Apple has rolled out the first public beta version of iOS 26 this week. This allows the general public to test the new Liquid Glass interface and other features. The public beta releases usually happen in July to fix initial issues, and these versions are considered more stable than the developer betas.
GitHub, owned by Microsoft, has released Spark AI. This new tool uses AI to help users build apps by accepting instructions in natural language. You can choose between OpenAI GPT and Claude Sonnet AI models. Spark generates the code and presents an interactive preview that you can further refine.

GPT-5 could be launched in early August, according to reports. GPT-5 is expected to have unified reasoning capabilities.
Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, experienced a significant outage this week. The outage affected internet access for millions of users for around 2.5 hours. This outage is one of the longest in Starlink’s history. The incident occurred right after the announcement of the new T-Satellite rollout in collaboration with T-Mobile to deliver signals to remote areas.
