The official agenda item is a ‘Special Discussion’ regarding India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, which followed the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Twenty-six civilians died in the April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir. India’s response involved precision strikes, Operation Sindoor, aimed at terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Since the start of the monsoon session on July 21, the Parliament has frequently adjourned due to the opposition’s insistence on discussing matters of public interest, including the Pahalgam terror attack and the SIR exercise being conducted by the Election Commission in Bihar.
