With the upcoming Adivasi Mahotsav 2025, scheduled for August 9-11, 2025, preparations are in full swing. A significant effort to publicize the event involves the launch of an awareness chariot. This chariot is designed to reach the general public with information, messages, and the significance of the festival. Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Special Secretary and Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, initiated the chariot’s journey on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren is steering the Adivasi Mahotsav 2025 toward becoming an inclusive and grand celebration. The festival goes beyond a cultural display; it embodies identity, struggle, and pride, uniting both traditional tribal culture and modern influences. The Mahotsav will offer an opportunity to explore tribal culture, identity, rights, and contributions. It will also showcase the culture, traditions, folk art, languages, attire, and cuisine of tribal communities from around the globe, promoting a vibrant cultural exchange.
Awareness Chariot Highlights:
The chariot will traverse major intersections, markets, schools, and crowded areas of Ranchi. It will feature posters and flex banners displaying tribal artwork and cultural messages, offering insights into the historical, social, and cultural characteristics of the tribal community. The journey will provide the public with details about the festival’s dates, venue, special attractions, featured artists, and cultural programs. The awareness chariot will travel throughout the state to ensure widespread participation and add to the event’s significance. The event was attended by officials and staff from the Information and Public Relations Department, including Deputy Director Anand.
