Aradhya Singh, a 14-year-old from Bihar, has completed a remarkable project: translating the Hanuman Chalisa into 234 languages. This unprecedented achievement aims to share the devotional hymn with a global audience, breaking down linguistic barriers and promoting cultural understanding. The young girl, residing in Balua Chowk, East Champaran, is now seeking official recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records.
Aradhya’s translations span a wide range of languages, including regional Indian languages like Bhojpuri and Maithili, as well as Korean, Japanese, and Latin American languages. Her work reflects a profound commitment to making the Hanuman Chalisa accessible to people of all backgrounds and linguistic abilities. Supported by her parents, Manoj and Rani Singh, Aradhya invested six months in the project, utilizing translation tools and meticulously reviewing the translated text.
Inspired by her spiritual inclination and the desire to share her culture, Aradhya views this project as a means to transcend cultural boundaries. In addition to her translation work, she is actively involved in the ‘Aadaraniya Dalit’ initiative, which demonstrates her dedication to social causes. Her parents have been unwavering in their support, fostering her intellectual and spiritual growth.
