A powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, leading to significant tremors and a subsequent tsunami. A compelling video has emerged from the event, showing medical personnel in an operating room continuing a surgery despite the shaking. The surgical team remained calm and focused throughout the seismic event, successfully completing the procedure. Following the operation, the patient is reported to be in a stable condition. The earthquake generated tsunami waves up to 4 meters (13 feet) high, which impacted various regions, including Japan and the United States.
Authorities reported damage, including a kindergarten affected by the earthquake. Tsunami waves were recorded in areas along the coast of Kamchatka, as well as in Hawaii and California.
