A case of betrayal has come to light in Gopalganj, Bihar, where a young woman named Manisha, who gained popularity on social media, has been victimized by her husband. Within ten days of their marriage, her husband, Akshay Chaurasia, is said to have left her home, taking with him a large sum of cash and her mobile phone. Manisha, who is differently-abled and comes from a modest family, creates video content on social media. This provided her with an income. She reported the incident to the police, who have opened an investigation. Manisha also alleges that the police did not take immediate action on her initial complaint. After taking the matter to the Superintendent of Police, she was assured that justice will be served. The amount of money stolen is estimated to be 10 lakh rupees.
