
The Election Commission of India has unveiled the draft voter list for Bihar, following the conclusion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign. This revision process anticipates the removal of approximately 6.5 million names from the voter list due to updated verification protocols. Voters are encouraged to verify their status using the online portal or the Voter Helpline app.
The SIR period, from August 1st to September 1st, allows voters and political parties to request additions or raise objections to entries deemed inaccurate.
Steps to Check Your Name in the Voter List:
1. Using EPIC Number
* Visit: https://ceoelection.bihar.gov.in/
* Select Bihar.
* Input your EPIC number and CAPTCHA.
* Click Submit.
2. Using Personal Details (If EPIC Unavailable)
* Visit: https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
* Select “Search by Details.”
* Enter:
* Name
* Parent/Spouse’s Name
* Birthdate/Age
* Gender
* District and Constituency
* Enter CAPTCHA and Search
3. Using Mobile Number
* Visit: https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in
* Select “Search by Mobile.”
* Provide Mobile Number, verify with OTP, and check.
4. Via Voter Helpline App
Download the Voter Helpline App from:
* Google Play Store
* Apple App Store
* ECI website
App Usage:
* Log in with EPIC or mobile number.
* Or enter State, District, and Constituency.
* The app will display your status.
Use the online portal, mobile number search, or the app to verify your enrollment.
Address any discrepancies before the September 1st deadline.
Special rules apply to new voters born after July 1, 1987.
