An incident of sexual assault has occurred involving a student from an Ashram in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. After returning from summer vacation, the student exhibited concerning behavior, leading to an investigation. The investigation revealed that the student was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance during her break. Following medical confirmation of the student’s pregnancy, the Ashram administration contacted the police. An FIR has been filed against the accused under the POCSO Act. The police are conducting a thorough investigation, emphasizing the sensitivity of the case and the importance of the student’s safety and well-being. The Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Development Department has assured that the accused will not be spared.
