Serious talks are underway between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump concerning a new plan for the Gaza Strip, with the primary focus on achieving a ceasefire and the release of hostages. The proposed plan outlines a clear ultimatum for Hamas: release all hostages and adhere to the proposed conditions or confront severe consequences. The core of the proposal requires Hamas to disarm and release all hostages immediately. Upon fulfillment of these conditions, the United States would spearhead the establishment of an international administration in the Gaza Strip. An Israeli official commented on the deliberate starvation inflicted upon the hostages as a form of abuse. Earlier, during a visit to Qatar, Trump suggested that the United States should assume control of the Gaza Strip, with the goal of creating a ‘freedom zone’.
