The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) expressed deep sorrow over the passing of its founder and mentor, Shibu Soren, with party spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya likening the loss to a Himalayan collapse.
Bhattacharya stated that although Guruji is no longer physically present, his ideology and principles would remain a strong source of inspiration for everyone. He emphasized that Soren’s life exemplified continuous struggle, fighting for social justice and never being defeated.
Bhattacharya further noted that Soren’s efforts awakened and empowered tribal communities, indigenous populations, Dalits, the exploited, laborers, farmers, and women, encouraging them to assert their rights. He concluded that Guruji showed the way to fight ignorance through education, to struggle against exploitation, and to achieve a life of dignity.
