An application for a residency certificate in the name of Donald Trump has been submitted online in the Samastipur district of Bihar, India, leading to an official investigation. The application was filed on July 29, 2025, with the number BRCCCO/2025/17989735. It featured a photograph of the former U.S. President. The applicant’s listed address was Village Hasanpur, Ward No. 13, Post Bakarpur, Police Station Mohiuddin Nagar, Block Mohiuddin Nagar, District Samastipur. The local administration, including BDO Dr. Navkanj Kumar and Brijesh Kumar Dwivedi, issued a press statement about the situation. The inquiry revealed that the photo, Aadhaar number, and barcode were manipulated. The revenue officer subsequently rejected the application on August 4. The administration is taking the matter seriously and will report the case to the Samastipur cyber crime police station for further action. The authorities are also attempting to trace the origin of the application, identifying the IP address and system used. This incident is part of a pattern of unusual residency certificate applications in the state, raising questions about the process’s integrity.
