
A triple murder, triggered by a land dispute, has occurred in Sahibganj, Jharkhand, causing widespread fear in the community. The victims’ family is demanding severe consequences for the accused. Police have arrested the suspect and are conducting a legal investigation. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem, with the weapons used in the crime also seized.
The triple homicide took place in Dudhkol village, under the Taljhari police station area of Sahibganj. The families of Bajal Hembram and Noha Murmu had been embroiled in a long-standing land dispute. The disagreement turned violent on Wednesday. Bajal Hembram, driven by anger, brutally attacked his relatives: Noha Besra, her daughter Badki Murmu, and her son-in-law Nathaniel Hansda, using sharp weapons and iron rods, ultimately killing them.
After committing the triple murder, the accused went to the Taljhari police station and confessed. The police then went to Dudhkol village, where the bodies were found. The bodies were taken for post-mortem examination. An investigation is underway and the iron rod used in the attack has been seized.
The village is now gripped by fear. The victims’ families are urging the police to take strict action. A police team has been formed to investigate, and a police official confirmed that the suspect surrendered and confessed. The suspect lived in the neighborhood of the victims.
