Elon Musk’s xAI has launched a ‘Spicy Mode’ within its Grok Imagine AI, causing significant debate due to its ability to generate adult-themed videos. This feature leverages text prompts to create videos, pushing the limits of generative AI. The feature is available to Premium Plus and SuperGrok subscribers on the X (Twitter) iOS app for a monthly fee equivalent to 700 rupees. The tool allows users to create videos with adult visuals and natural audio, up to 15 seconds in length. Even with implemented restrictions, the tool has been found to produce content that circumvents these measures. The functionality of the ‘Spicy Mode’ was initially revealed on X (Twitter) by xAI employee Mati Roy in a post that has since been deleted. The AI tool generates a series of images from text prompts that can be transformed into animated videos. Despite these advancements, the ‘uncanny valley’ effect is noticeable, with human faces appearing like cartoons.
