Political parties in Bihar are gearing up for the upcoming assembly elections. Anant Singh has confirmed his intention to contest the elections under Nitish Kumar’s party. Following his release from Beur jail, he made this announcement. The RJD has raised concerns about the Election Commission, questioning why a category-wise list of voters removed from the electoral rolls has not been provided. Santosh Kumar Mahato, the state general secretary of Jan Suraj, joined the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) along with numerous supporters. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gaya on August 22nd, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Patna on August 7th.
