Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit India in late August, according to information shared by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during his meeting in Moscow with Russian Security Council chief Sergei Shoigu. The visit is intended to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Russia.
Putin’s last trip to India was in December 2021. The upcoming visit will mark his return after the start of the Ukraine war. This announcement comes at a time when India is strategically balancing its relationships with the US and Russia.
Confirmation of the visit has also come from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
