Following the deaths of the three girls, their families protested, alleging negligence in their treatment and causing a commotion. Angered by the incident, people blocked the Madhubani-Benipatti National Highway. Upon receiving news of the incident, Rahika’s Circle Officer and police officials attempted to calm the crowd and clear the road. However, the protestors remained steadfast in their demands for compensation. Officials later arrived to remove the blockade, promising assistance and a probe into the alleged negligence during the treatment of the deceased girls. Subsequently, the road was cleared, and traffic resumed, but a pall of mourning descended over the village.
