
To commemorate its 25 years of presence in India, Skoda, a company from the Czech Republic, has launched a special edition of its Kyak SUV. Along with this, special variants of the Kushaq and Slavia were also unveiled on Monday. The special edition of the Kyak is based on the Signature+ and Prestige 2 models. It features some cosmetic enhancements to give it a distinct look. Only 500 units of each special variant will be available for purchase.
The standard Kyak model is available in 11 variants, priced from ₹8.25 lakh to ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition is priced at ₹11.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Signature+ and ₹12.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Prestige variant. The new special edition boasts design and feature upgrades over the standard model. The limited edition includes a free accessories kit that features a 360-degree camera setup, puddle lamps, and 25th-anniversary badging on the B-pillar. Customers can select from seven exterior color options for the limited-edition variant.
Key features of the Kyak special edition include a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, power-folding wing mirrors, dash inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome garnishing, front USB Type-C ports, a rear center armrest, an in-car connectivity suite, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, keyless entry and start, auto-dimming IRVM, sunroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, and wireless phone charging.
The special edition, like the regular model, is powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 115 bhp. It offers both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options. The manual variant can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic variant takes 11.69 seconds. The claimed fuel efficiency is 19.68 km/liter for the manual and 19.05 km/liter for the automatic version.
