
Vivo has introduced the V60 smartphone, designed to capture the attention of the mid-range market. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a large 6500mAh battery, a 50MP front-facing camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company is offering long-term support, including four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. The V60 also integrates AI capabilities such as an AI smart call assistant, AI image expander, an AI-powered spam call blocker, and AI captions. This smartphone will be available in four configurations: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 12GB RAM/256GB storage, and 16GB RAM/512GB storage. The base model is priced at Rs 36,999, the 8/256GB version at Rs 38,999, the 12/256GB model at Rs 40,999, and the high-end 16/512GB version at Rs 45,999. Pre-orders have already commenced, with sales scheduled to begin on August 19th through the company’s website, select retail stores, Flipkart, and Amazon. The Vivo V60 5G will compete with other smartphones in the Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 price range, including the Realme 15 Pro 5G, Google Pixel 8a, OnePlus 13R 5G, iQOO Neo 10, and Honor 200 Pro 5G. Key specifications include a 6.77-inch 1.5K resolution quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor built on a 4nm process. It features up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 50MP sensor is also located on the front for selfies and video calls. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. A 6500mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging, provides the device’s power.
