The recent conflict between Israel and Iran saw Israel launch successful operations inside Iran. These operations resulted in the elimination of key Iranian officials, leading to international acclaim for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, which had established a comprehensive network within Iran to target its leadership.
Iranian authorities reported that they had detained approximately 21,000 suspected individuals during the hostilities with Israel. These arrests were made based on information provided by the public. However, the judiciary’s figures were considerably lower, stating around 2,000 arrests.
Saeed Montezerolmahdi, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrests stemmed from 7,850 reports received through the national emergency line 110. He pointed out that there was a 41 percent increase in calls from the public during the 12-day war, which led to the arrest of 21,000 suspects. This highlighted the high level of awareness and public cooperation in maintaining the country’s security.
