
On Tuesday, Akhilesh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and current Member of Parliament, traveled to Nemra, Ramgarh, the ancestral home of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He paid his respects to the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren by placing flowers before his image, and conveyed his heartfelt condolences. Akhilesh Yadav met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, MLA Basant Soren, and other relatives, offering comfort and support.
Akhilesh Yadav also had a poignant meeting with Rupi Soren, the mother of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, expressing his emotions. He assured her that the entire state of Jharkhand was with her in her sorrow and that her strength would bolster Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He recalled the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the tribal, Dalit, exploited, and marginalized communities, adding that everyone would continue to be inspired by “Guruji’s” life. He stated that Shibu Soren’s struggle, ideals, and personality would remain forever etched in memory, and that “Guruji” would be remembered as a prominent public figure who provided direction to society.
Also, the eighth day of the traditional Shradh rituals for the late Shibu Soren was observed on Tuesday. Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family conducted the Shradh ceremony, following traditional beliefs to pray for the peace of the departed soul.
