The exchange of leaders between these alliances has commenced, with notable defections. BJP leaders and others joined the RJD on Tuesday. Chhedi Ram, a former minister, and a former CRPF officer were among those who joined the Congress. Below are some of the significant political events in Bihar.
Tej Pratap Yadav’s party welcomed several new members. These individuals joined the party during an event held at Tej Pratap Yadav’s official residence in the capital city.
Another political party has decided to participate in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. The Prautishta Bloc, India (PBI) announced its first candidate at a press conference in the capital on Tuesday, nominating Professor Mahendra Pratap Singh for the Kumhrar constituency. The party is committed to a phased candidate selection process based on ethical and social development and harmony, applying this to all seats in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
A gathering was held at the RJD state office’s Karpoori Auditorium on Tuesday. BJP leaders, including Bhola Prasad Sah and others, alongside hundreds of supporters from various parties, joined the RJD. RJD state president Mangni Lal Mandal presided over the event, and state general secretary Ranvijay Sahu managed the proceedings.
Chhedi Ram, a former minister, joined the Congress. A program was held at the Pradesh Congress headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, on Tuesday, where Chhedi Ram, along with his numerous supporters and public representatives, took membership in the Congress. Rakesh Kumar Ram, his son, also joined the party. Chhedi Ram stated that the Congress is the authentic party for Dalits and the underprivileged. Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Ram affirmed that all societal groups now recognize that the Congress offers appropriate representation in power to all sections, benefiting from Chhedi Ram’s experience.
The Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party has announced that a significant split is anticipated within Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party. Shravan Kumar Agarwal, National Spokesperson, addressed a press conference criticizing Chirag Paswan.
Agarwal predicted a major split in Chirag Paswan’s party, pointing to ongoing resignations across different districts. He highlighted a mass exodus from Chirag’s party. Dedicated workers of Ram Vilas Paswan have joined the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party. Many of Chirag’s party leaders also seek to join. On Sunday, 129 members from Chirag’s party resigned en masse, making serious accusations against Chirag’s MPs.
Agarwal also stated that instead of uniting his party, Chirag is making baseless allegations. He referenced prior splits caused by Chirag’s dictatorial approach.
The CPI(ML), a Mahagathbandhan constituent, highlights the detrimental impact of withholding information from the public and political parties. A meeting of the CPI(ML) Central Committee took place in Patna on Tuesday. Central Committee members from several states were present. The meeting extensively discussed the SIR process in Bihar. The party has voiced concern about its complaints being disregarded by the Election Commission.
On Tuesday at the Pradesh Congress headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, several individuals, including a former CRPF officer and social activists, joined the Congress party. The Pradesh Congress President welcomed these individuals, highlighting the Congress’s commitment to unity, social justice, and inclusive development, and acknowledging the benefits of their experience.
