Skoda Auto entered the mid-size SUV segment with the Kushaq in 2021, directly competing with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The company is planning to introduce the new Skoda Kushaq facelift, which will feature several updates to its exterior and interior design. While an official launch date is yet to be announced, the vehicle is expected to be released towards the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
A major addition to the updated Kushaq will be a panoramic sunroof. The current model has a standard sunroof on the higher trims. The facelift will also feature Level-2 ADAS, joining competitors like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate. Other features could include ventilated front seats and new interior trim.
Minor cosmetic changes are anticipated. These may include revised headlamps, a front grille with a new pattern, a modified air dam, and redesigned fog lamps. Updated alloy wheels are also expected. The rear of the car may feature new taillights and a redesigned bumper.
The engine options are likely to remain the same, with two turbocharged petrol engines: a 1.0-liter TSI producing 115 bhp and a 1.5-liter TSI producing 150 bhp. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual (for the 1.0-liter), a 6-speed torque converter automatic (for the 1.0-liter), and a 7-speed dual-clutch (for the 1.5-liter).
