A devastating cloudburst caused flash floods in the Chositi area of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred at the commencement point of the Machail Mata Yatra. Rescue operations have been initiated in response to the disaster, confirmed the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar. Union MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh reported that he had spoken to the DC of Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, regarding the situation. The cloudburst in Chositi poses a risk of significant casualties. The local administration has mobilized quickly, deploying rescue teams, assessing the damage, and arranging medical assistance. J&K LG Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the cloudburst, extending condolences and directing all relevant authorities to intensify the rescue and relief efforts.
