
India’s 79th Independence Day is being celebrated with great zeal, and the Indian cricket team is at the forefront of the celebrations. The celebrations sparked memories of the 2024 T20I World Cup, where India showcased remarkable performance. Rohit Sharma’s year included the Champions Trophy victory, but he also announced his retirement from Test cricket.
Rohit Sharma shared a poignant image on Instagram, where he is seen planting the Indian flag on the field, a snapshot from the ICC T20I World Cup 2024 final. In that final match, India defeated South Africa. Following the tournament win, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20I cricket.
Hardik Pandya, the dynamic all-rounder, also extended his Independence Day greetings via Instagram, sharing a photo with the Indian flag. That photo was taken after the ICC T20I World Cup 2024 final. Young talent Tilak Varma joined the celebration by posting a picture on his social media handle, expressing his honor in playing for India.
