
Intense rainfall and subsequent flooding have caused widespread destruction in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK). The disaster has resulted in a significant loss of life, with at least 154 people confirmed dead. A considerable number of individuals are still missing. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has borne the brunt of the devastation, with cloudbursts and fast-moving floodwaters causing both human casualties and damage to infrastructure in several districts.
Among the hardest-hit areas, Buner district saw 75 fatalities, while Mansehra reported 17 deaths. Both Bajaur and Batagram districts each suffered 18 fatalities. Lower Dir reported five deaths and four injuries. Swat and Shangla also recorded casualties.
