
As the nation marked the death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the tributes at the ‘Sadev Atal’ memorial in Delhi. Other political leaders and Union Ministers also participated in the ceremony. Vajpayee, a key figure in the BJP and a former Prime Minister, left a lasting impact on Indian politics. He held the office of Prime Minister on three separate occasions. His birthday is celebrated as ‘Good Governance Day’, and he was awarded the Bharat Ratna. President Murmu visited the memorial to pay respects, while Prime Minister Modi offered floral tributes and took to social media to reflect on Vajpayee’s service. Modi’s message emphasized Vajpayee’s inspiration in fostering a developed and self-reliant India, acknowledging his dedication to the country’s overall advancement.
