Ola Electric has expanded its S1 electric scooter lineup with the launch of the S1 Pro Sport. This new variant aims to offer a more dynamic riding experience, priced at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The S1 Pro Sport incorporates a refreshed design and a new 4680-type battery.
Design and ADAS Integration
The S1 Pro Sport features a revised front design, including a prominent Ola logo and a camera system for ADAS functions, such as collision detection. The scooter supports MoveOS 6 to facilitate these advanced driver-assistance features. Design enhancements include a new seat, carbon fiber front fender, grab handle, and aero windshield. The scooter is equipped with 14-inch wheels.
Powertrain and Battery
The scooter’s electric motor is an indigenous ferrite unit, delivering a maximum output of 16 kW and 71 Nm of torque. This motor design reduces dependence on rare earth elements. The S1 Pro Sport incorporates a 5.2 kWh battery pack with 4680 cells, enabling a top speed of 152 kmph, an acceleration time of 2 seconds from 0 to 40 kmph, and an IDC range of 320 km.
Advanced Features
The S1 Pro Sport is equipped with a suite of ADAS features, including collision warnings, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and overspeeding alerts. The scooter also features an updated interface with voice assistance, custom display themes, personal ride analytics, predictive maintenance alerts, and smart charging capabilities.
