The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025 has announced its winners, spotlighting the best in Indian cinema. ‘Homebound’ dominated the awards, winning Best Film and Best Director for Neeraj Ghaywan. Aamir Khan’s contributions to the industry were acknowledged with the Excellence in Cinema Award. Abhishek Bachchan secured the Best Actor (Male) award for his role in ‘I Want to Talk,’ and Gugun Kigpen received a Special Mention for ‘Boong.’ The festival’s award list also included recognitions for independent films, series, and short films, with awards for Best Indie Film, Best Series, and outstanding performances in both male and female categories.
