Ranbir Kapoor, a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, is involved in high-profile projects with top directors, including ‘Ramayana,’ ‘Love and War,’ and ‘Dhoom 4.’ Many directors are keen to cast him in their films. There is speculation that he might be considered for a sequel to a successful film. However, he faces competition from an actor who has earned 1800 crores.
Subhash B recently resolved a legal dispute with Shemaroo Entertainment. The Bombay High Court’s ruling on August 12 allowed the sequel to ‘Disco Dancer,’ starring Mithun Chakraborty, to proceed.
Subhash shared that he is developing the story for the sequel and considering Ranbir Kapoor or Allu Arjun for the lead roles. He acknowledged that both actors are excellent performers and dancers.
K.V. Vijayendra Prasad will write the story and screenplay. Co-producer Nitin Gupta aims to offer a new narrative that retains the spirit of the original film.
Allu Arjun is a major threat to Ranbir Kapoor due to his significant fan base. Allu Arjun gained popularity in North India after ‘Pushpa.’ If he gets the role and accepts it, Ranbir Kapoor could miss out on the opportunity. ‘Pushpa 2’ has grossed over 1800 crores, creating a considerable challenge.
