
Pakistan is experiencing catastrophic flooding. The weather department alerted the public on Sunday, forecasting heavy rainfall nationwide. The death toll from flash floods in the northern regions of the country has risen to 327, according to authorities. The monsoon rains, which began on June 26th, have caused widespread destruction, resulting in approximately 650 fatalities.
The meteorological department has issued warnings of heavy rainfall across the country from August 17th to August 21st. Residents in the northwestern regions have been advised to take precautions. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has alerted that the unusually early and heavy monsoon rains are anticipated to persist with increased intensity over the subsequent two weeks.
