
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, underscoring his pivotal contribution to the formation of Chhattisgarh. During a wreath-laying ceremony in Raipur, Sai emphasized that the very name ‘Chhattisgarh’ is a gift from Atal Ji. He recounted Vajpayee’s diverse talents as a journalist, poet, and politician, and his ability to captivate listeners with his speeches. Sai highlighted the launch of a 25-week program celebrating the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s formation, attributing this achievement to Vajpayee’s vision. He also declared the current year as ‘Atal Nirman Varsh,’ with a dedicated budget aimed at accelerating infrastructure development. The Chief Minister stated that the state is advancing towards achieving the goals for which Vajpayee envisioned Chhattisgarh, revealing the Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047 roadmap for the state’s future development. Sharing personal memories, Sai noted his opportunity to hear Vajpayee’s addresses in Parliament when he was a Member of Parliament. He remembered the eagerness with which everyone awaited Vajpayee’s speeches and his special way of connecting with the audience. Sai spoke about witnessing the parliamentary discussions on the formation of Chhattisgarh. He stressed that Vajpayee valued principles and ethics in politics, seeing it as an art of dialogue, consensus, and compassion. The Chief Minister concluded by noting that Vajpayee’s legacy continues to influence progress and development.
