Air India, a private airline owned by the Tata group, canceled its Milan to Delhi flight on August 16th. The decision was made after a maintenance issue was identified. Air India is currently working to arrange alternative travel options for the affected passengers. The cancellation of flight AI138, which was slated to fly from Milan to Delhi, was a direct result of a maintenance issue that was noticed during the pushback procedure. Pushback is the process of moving the aircraft away from the gate on the ground. This procedure enables ground personnel to move the aircraft safely and efficiently. All passengers affected by the cancellation were promptly assisted by Air India’s team in Milan. Assistance included accommodation at hotels, alongside the choice of either receiving a complete refund or re-scheduling their flight. The airline conveyed its apologies for the disruption. Air India places the utmost importance on the security of both its passengers and flight crew.
