
The Trophy Glory Journey, designed to popularize hockey, is traveling throughout Bihar, alongside visits to Chennai, Chandigarh (Punjab, Haryana), Delhi, Odisha, Assam and Jharkhand. The goal is to generate youth interest in hockey, boost the sports culture, and promote community participation in this historic event.
Following a tour of Patna’s Marine Drive, Gandhi Maidan, and Patna City Gurudwara on August 17, the Trophy Glory Journey moved to Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur, and Buxar this morning. Vaishali gave the journey a grand welcome.
At the welcome ceremony at NN College Singhara Mahua, District Magistrate Varsha Singh, the chief guest, presented garlands to the trophy and the athletes. Sports Officer Rakesh Kumar, SDO Mahua Kislay Kushwaha, DSP Sandeep Kumar, DPO Santosh Kumar, Ravindra Kumar Shah, many local people, and players were also in attendance. All present showed their support with the slogan ‘Khel Ke Rang Bihar Ke Sang.’
In Bhojpur, at the District Sports Office, District Sports Officer Alok Kumar Gautam, Hockey Sangh Secretary Ratan Kumar, and representatives from the Cricket Sangh Bhojpur, including Vijay Kumar Singh, Dilip Kumar, Ashish Kumar Mishra, and Vijay Kumar Singh, joined a large number of players and locals in a warm reception for the Trophy Glory Journey.
The Trophy Glory Journey is receiving enthusiastic receptions wherever it goes, with the passion of young people and players for the sport being particularly inspiring. The Trophy Glory Journey is set to arrive in Rajgir on August 29th, after visiting all districts of Bihar.
