German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reported that Putin has agreed to meet with Zelensky within 15 days, following a phone call with Trump. The location of the meeting is yet to be determined. European leaders are advocating for a ceasefire before any further discussions. However, Trump views a ceasefire as a temporary measure, stating it is not essential to end the war. Trump indicated that the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine war could be decided in two weeks. He announced that he had contacted President Putin, and a meeting between Putin and Zelensky would soon take place, followed by a trilateral meeting involving both presidents and himself. Trump stated that the issues of when the war will end and who will have the right to the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia should be discussed in a face-to-face meeting between the leaders of both countries.
