Indian Railways is enhancing travel convenience for the upcoming festivals by launching numerous initiatives for Bihar. A significant development is the operation of 12,000 special trains over a two-month period for Diwali and Chhath Puja. Passengers will also enjoy a 20% discount on their return tickets, which applies to returns between November 17th and December 1st, provided the initial journey was made between October 13th and 26th.
Included in these new services are the Amrit Bharat Express and Buddha Circuit trains. These trains are designed to enhance connectivity, with routes such as Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad. The Buddha Circuit trains will link various locations, including Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Fatuha, Rajgir, Natesar, Gaya, and Koderma. Furthermore, a Vande Bharat train is slated to begin operation from Purnea to Patna. Beyond these immediate travel improvements, the Railways is also focusing on infrastructure development within Bihar.
