
The Outer Delhi Warriors achieved a convincing victory over the North Delhi Strikers in a high-scoring Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 match, winning by seven wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This performance earned the Warriors two vital points in the tournament.
North Delhi Strikers, after electing to bat, scored 193/6 in their 20 overs, recovering from a challenging start. Vaibhav Kandpal led their batting with a well-played 73 off 40 balls, combining smart batting with powerful strokes. Arjun Rapria contributed 33 off 19 balls, while Gagan Vats added late innings power with a quick 18 off 4 balls, but the team fell short of the 200-run mark.
Siddhant Sharma was a key bowler for the Warriors, taking 3 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs. His crucial wickets prevented the Strikers from maximizing their scoring potential.
The Warriors faced an early setback in their chase of 194 when Sanat Sangwan was dismissed early. Priyansh Arya and Rishabh Drall then put together a 67-run partnership to turn the tide. Drall scored a valuable 38 off 25 balls before being caught.
Priyansh Arya played a sensational innings, scoring 76 off just 30 balls. His attacking play dismantled the Strikers’ bowling plans and set up the chase. He was caught by Sarthak Ranjan off Vikas Dixit, but his contribution was critical.
Keshav Dabas and Dhruv Singh ensured there were no further mishaps, with Dabas scoring 46 off 35 balls and Dhruv contributing 26 off 17, as the Warriors completed the chase in 18 overs.
