Following a fatal road accident in Florida involving a commercial truck, the US government has suspended worker visas for truck drivers. The truck driver, Harjinder Singh, was driving a truck that was involved in a collision with a car, resulting in fatalities. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) revealed that Singh had crossed the Mexican border illegally in 2018 and obtained a commercial driving license in California. According to the department, Singh was driving negligently and attempting a U-turn when the accident occurred.
The US government is taking action after the incident.
