The Jharkhand Police has achieved a significant milestone by extraditing Mayank Singh, also known as Sunil Meena, from Azerbaijan. He is wanted for a multitude of serious offenses, including murder, extortion, and attempted murder, with over 40 cases registered against him. The operation represents the first time a criminal has been brought back to Jharkhand from a foreign country.
Mayank was actively directing criminal activities from outside India. The Jharkhand ATS, under the leadership of SP Rishabh Jha, collaborated with the Azerbaijani government to capture him. The police are interrogating him, and he will be presented before a court in Ramgarh. The authorities are aiming to repatriate other criminals living abroad through extradition or deportation.
